Does anyone know the site address for a "turbo saver" that was advertised on this site (was it dieselite.com)?

Thanks,

David

Does the remote start have a delay to allow proper glow plug operation? If so, who carries this gadget?

Thanks,

David

There was a thread I inquired with Eric or Clay about the remote start a couple months back and indeed there is the glow plug delay prior to it cranking up.

David,

I have a Viper 550 alarm/remote start. Any competent car audio shop will be able to install a remote start on a diesel and properly wire it so that it waits for the "wait to start" light to go off. Some remote starters are on a 20-second delay, which is a little bit of a shortcut in my opinion. The alarm/remote start combo is great, I've had it installed in my X since the first month of ownership back in August '00. Viper came out with a new remote that has 2-way communication. When I start the X from inside the office, I know that it received the signal and that it started. Has a neat little display on it to also let me know if the alarm goes off and which sensor was tripped.
