Hey Guys,
Just got my 2005 Exc 6.0 Diesel and am ready to mod. Put the Banks Monster Exhaust on last week. Adding the Airaid intake tomorrow. What about tuners ?? I understand that all the after market tuners can leave a trail in the stock computer if you take it in for warranty work except the Banks. Does anyone have experience with this set up and do you recommend the Banks? I ask because this one is new and I don't want to chance a warranty claim due to mods. Suggestions??
God Bless,
Keith

If you do a programmer you can remove the Programmer and then unhook your batteries for about 10 min and it will reset and relearn, the dealer wont know. If you buy a chip you can unplug it and leave it home, do the same with the batteries just to be sure. I have a chip, it makes great power, alot more than my Father's Superchip programmer does, but then again he can reprogram for tow-safe or load the extreme...I can only plug the chip in, or unplug the chip. I can reburn it, but then I have to ship it to Banks (I have a Big-Hoss lvl 4) and pay for reburning. I would like a lvl 5, but I cant tow a 12K lb trailer with a lvl 5, so I have a lvl 4. I only pull the trailer in the summer, so I would spend a couple hundred bucks a year reprogramming for tow season/off season where as if you get an Edge Juice with Attitude you can adjust on the fly. Im thinking go Edge, if I were doing it again, I know I would.

Keith, welcome to the club!
If you go with a programmer type of chip, they will leave no trace. The nice things about these is that you can unload the program very quickly prior to taking it into a dealer. Plug-in style chips require monkeying around with computer to unplug the chip...a lot less convenient to remove if you bring it into the dealer.

Hi there keith....
I have to warn you about those programmers though....
Once you put them in and get used to it you won't like your truck stock Somewhat like giving you an f-16 for a week or two and then ask u to get there on a bicycle Have had great luck (and FUN) with my predator loaded 8000 lb rocket ship !!!

i have a 2000 with the 7.3 mostly all banks performance upgrades i originally had a diablow it caused all kinds of problems currently i am running the six gun stacked with the boss hoss level 5 with the upgraded intercooler exhaust side of the turbo extrnal waste gate 35 lbs. of boost 5 in exhaust from turbo back it is the best with the six gun you can go from crazy to insane with a push of the button so i would say that banks is the way to go if you would like to see my truck click this link

Hey Guys,
Thank you very much! I put the exhaust on last week and the Airaid yesterday. Seems like I can hear the turbo whistle much more? I figure I am hearing the turbo reverb back through the air filter? Not a bad thing though. What kind of gax mileage increase did you guys get with the banks? I am only averaging 13 -14 right now and thats treating it very nice. God Bless,
Keith
