I have a front trailer hitch that will replace one of my front tow hooks.

At first look, I can't see a easy way to get at the three bolts on the bottom of the hooks. the hitch will slide in a use the same bolt holes?

Please share your wisdom with those who have never removed the bumper.

Thanks

I got this one guys,

this is easy, the bumper is only held on by the 2 bolts on either side of the tow hooks, remove the 4 bolts and have a friend help pull the bumper off, its a simple 10 minute thing, good luck.

It really is all about size!!!!!!

I want one of those things. Scott, have you had any issues with it blocking the airflow to the tranny cooler? Also, do you not have to have front license plates in MD? I know hidden hitch makes an adapter for the receiver hitch that'll hold a license plate, but it's something I need to be concerned about. Front plates are required in MN.

Hey E....
my bull bar add on and lights blocked mine....
just relocated the front plate to a more viewable area right above the bar...

See how it's hidden here?

just moved it up to the flat trim right above it and below the top bar....
no problems now...

No problems with cooling and its been on there over 2 years. Yes we also need 2 plates. I made my own adapter with a blank plug for the hitch and cut the back support of the factory tag bracket . I will go out and take a picture later. I put it on there two carry a four bike carrier but have also used it for a step to work on the truck and a hitch carrier also.

Cool! Yeah, I really want one so I can use my receiver clevis when using a tow rope. The tow hooks are great, but you have to use a tow rope with open-ended hooks. Not good if the rope brakes or the tow hook bends. Been there, done that!

Was the install pretty straightforward?

That would be handy for pulling out Toyotas and Chevys and Dodges and Nissans and Jeeps.
