Has anyone determined where all the squeeks and rattles are in the doors and door posts ? Is the plastic rubbing the metal or are there wires not tied down firmly ? |

HUH!?! I don't have squeaks and rattles. Maybe you should bring your Excursion to my house and drop it off for a couple weeks. I'll find out where the noises are coming from. Oh! And could you leave a gas card with me too?

I had many rattles on 2001 F250 extended cab. I had it at the dealer many times, they tried everything, could not fix it. Drove me nuts.. I finally put foam tape around each door frame where the plastic meet the metal. This help alot, but I just got rid of it.. The excursion is very tight and no noise yet..

I had 'em. They went away after awhile. The Driver's door was the worst!

Driver's door squeaked when brand new. Haven't heard anything in the past few months, however. Will be interesting to see what happens when the weather warms up again.

This is one thing I have really been impressed by is the lack of interior rattling, noise, and squeaks. The only thing problematic is the factory cup holder that pulls out of the dash. Every once in a while it is just sitting in the wrong position and it pulsates. Otherwise the door panels and everything else are still solid after 75K miles in my X. I keep a lot of tools in the back of my X and those are the only things that do the major rattling.
