This is great info. I saw another test like this with similar results on the Deisel Stop. But the also tested the new Progaurd 7 and it did much better. If I can locate it I will post it.

I'm with CHP on this....
given the number of Warranty repairs voided due to "dusted" turbos, etc...

I'M not putting anything but a Ford filter on mine....
here's the -oh versions write up:
www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=AccessoryCatalog&catalogid=3668&siteid=214083&categoryID=73782&subcat1=74561&subcat2=76037
not giving them ANY excuses....

yeah, yeah, I know, Magnumm-Moss and all that....
but if they say $1000 for a turbo or $15000 for an engine....
I am out THAT money and all my attorney fees for the length of time it takes me to sue them.....

and I don't have that much time normoney - personally

To play devil's advocate, when does the law of diminishing returns come into play? Certainly it's nice to filter out every possible particle, but at what point are you sacrificing power? I wish they would have also dyno'd a test vehicle with each of the filters to see what effect (if any) the filters had on performance. There's probably a happy medium in there somewhere.

For the best of both worlds as far as filtration and performance have to meet I think the AFE ProGuard7 was the choice.

The Tymar filter has proven to be a worthy competitor in the ring as well.
