Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering If anyone out there in San Diego has got Landyots Radius Rods ? and where you went to have them installed ? I was thinking that I would install them myself since I am fairly mechanical but i would like to make sure its done right since i dont have the cutoff tool for the torsion bars so any help would be apreciated ! Ken says the rods are on the way, just got new Weekend Warrior 26 ft and would like to have them installed before next big trip ! . Did you guys notice a big diifference in towing after this puppy was installed ?, Anyways Thanks for any help !

Nelson,
Try a shop that installs lift kits on trucks. They should have a torch and at the very least can do the cutting for you. Everything else is bolt-on. Don't know if you've seen the install article, but you can use this for reference: http://www.fordexcursions.com/installs/install_2/index.php

Nelson - Bolting them on is the easy part. Cutting the OEM traction bars is always the task that takes me a little time because I remove each rear wheel to gain clearance for my torch. A 4x4 shop should not charge more than 2 hours of labor if they do the install. Or if you wish to bolt them on yourself (you have the instructions), consider going to a muffler shop to have the traction bars torched off. |
