I towed the boat again yesterday, this time with the X and boat loaded down with gear and 4 people. When I reversed the boat back into the driveway, I still managed to heat up the trans fluid but kept an eye on it this time and it only spewed a little bit. I think the 3rd time will be a charm when I tow again, as I've got the system down now. I finally got it into a position where I could use 4x4-LO and it just idled it up the driveway without breaking a sweat. Definitely the way to go for next time.

Now to go pop some ibuprofen for the sunburn...
