Funny thing is those brackets aren't listed for a 2000 Excursion, only 2001 and newer.

I'm wondering if 2000 models didn't use them?? This might explain the difference with my F350 since it is a 2001.

I'll do some more research and see what I can find.

I shot FE member ERLong a message to take a look at his 2000 to see if his X has the outer bracket arms or perhaps another 2000 owner will chime in to help out

I have an existing pic in my photo album from when I got new tires...I think there's a bracket there that you're referring to? Take a look (click for a larger pic):



Let me know if you need another angle. Mine's a 2000 PSD X.
