I was stopped at a red light and my Ex suddenly stalled (no idle problem or any other warning). I placed it in park and restarted with no problem. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?

I must mention that the dealer just replaced the driver's seat module. And yes, they did hook it up to the computer.

Thanks,

David,

This is characteristic of the Cam Position Sensor (CPS). I was driving along and my X just died. Sometimes it would start up again right away, other times it would take a considerable amount of time to get running again. This is a warranty-covered item, so if you are within 100,000 miles on your PSD, then it can be fixed for the cost of the deductible. Typically, the CPS will throw an error code that the dealer will be able to pull from the computer just to make sure. My CPS went out at 85,000 miles.

From my experience if the CPS doesn't throw a DTC when the dealer scans it and the truck starts fine the majority of dealers will send you on your way now if you've made repeated visits for the same issue they may replace it to make everyone happy
