Can anyone tell me what's supposed to be in the little compartment in the cargo area where the jack is stored and how it's arranged? On my F350, the jack is stored under hood with the tire iron and stuff, so this is new area to me and when I got the vehicle the jack was just laying on the floor.

Any pictures of this would be great.

By the way mine is a 2000 Excursion Limited PSD.

On our Excursion the tire jack is held down by a single bolt and I do recall the tire jack on the Superduty's being under the front hood

The extra space in the tight compartment I keep a set of jumper cables in

If no one gets around to it in the next few hours when the wife gets home at 5PM I'll snap a pic of the jack in it's stowed location and post it up for ya

Anyone ever get a chance to snap a pic of this? I think I'm missing the mounting pieces for the jack or have the wrong jack. Thanks.

Sorry my CRS has been pretty bad

The jack in the rear storage has not mounting brackets to secure it,the jack just sits upright and is cranked up to wedge in between a top L bracket and the floor.

Here's a PHOTO of the jack in it's place. L Bracket Photo

Thanks Bill.

I actually had mine secured that way, but thought it had to be more complicated than that. Guess I should have followed the KISS theory on this one.

When we first went over the Excursion while at the dealer taking delivery I didn't find the jack in the engine area like we had on our 99.5 F250 but in the storage area wedged in there which is kinda cool

I hear ya on the KISS way of things

I keep my jumper cables in there with the jack, there's plenty of room in that compartment.

Plus I'm hoping that the next time I have to open that door is when I sell the truck and want to get my cables out!

Besides the jumper cables I also store a small air compressor and it fits

Never thought of putting the jumper cables in there -- good tip! I keep mine in a bin that I carry spare fluids, tow ropes, etc. in. Getting the cables out of there will free up some space for more crap! YEE-HAW

I keep my wife's frikkin' Pomeranian in there! It fits nicely.

I don't really have a Pomeranian...neither does my wife so please do attempt this yourself.

Unless you hate Pomeranians.
