Looks like I didn't get the full set of service manuals like I thought. Only got volume 1 & 2, but not 3 which apparently contains the wiring diagrams.

Does anyone have the wiring diagrams that they can share? If not, I guess I'll look to get vol 3.

Bill,

I'm looking for a couple right now.

1. My e-brake light doesn't work. Not sure if it's the switch, dash light, etc. Need to look at wiring diagram for this.

2. Cruise control doesn't work. The steering wheel controls light up and horn works, so I know the clockspring is probably ok. Want to see wiring diagram for this.

3. Wanna see the wiring diagram for the brake control wires under the dash. I have 6 "renegade wires" that I think belong to this, but can't verify w/o a wiring diagram.

I have a 2000 Ex Limited PSD, 4x4, auto tranny

Let me know if you can help with any of them.

I cannot locate the wiring schematic for the parking brake switch circuitry but can say that the switch itself can stick in the open position(brake pedal up) which might require a tap on to free it and the connector on the back of it can come loose,that'd be worth a gander.

For the Speed Control here's the Schematic it's for a 2001 but have no doubt the wiring will be identical. Some of the causes for the Speed Control not to activate is listed below;

Speed control cable not attached to throttle.
CJB fuse(s):
6 (15A) (Excursion).
13 (20A) (Excursion, Super Duty).
Circuitry.
Brake pedal position (BPP) switch.
Deactivator switch.
Speed control switch.
Anti-lock brake control module.
PCM.
Speed control servo.

What are the color wires that are loose under the dash and their approximate location?

There's one red wire in the Excursion harness and its for the trailer Electronic brakes feed which is a 30 amp circuit tied to the battery junction box.

I'd really like to see some photos of the wire bundles including the ones with the RCA connectors which sounds like there was an external amplifier,auxiliary audio input or phone hands free kit was added at one time by the prior owner.

Get some pics if you can

Ok Bill, I have a couple of pics, but not sure how to upload them to this site.

Any help and I'll get them up here for you to look at.

Thanks Eric for the help.

Ok, got the pics up. Let me know what you think these are. I believe they are for the trailer brake controller and some sort of cell phone system, but I'm not positive.

I see a pair of RCA connectors most likely right and left channel which was tied into the stereo system in some way with an EQ or amplifier.

Not knowing where the wires all tap into behind the dash is still in the air.
