Hey Yall,

Quick question;

I can't seem to find a rear partition for the Ex that fits. They all seem to leave a gap between the cage, the rear windows and the seat that is large enough for my dog's head.

Any ideas?

I asked this question a while back and don't remember the responses. I think I was directed to a one-size-fits all cage before but am now looking for a rear cage as well. My German Shepherd likes to hop over the back seat.

If you find anything jared, please post here.

BTW, welcome to the club!

It's the angle of the glass away from the roof line that creates the problem....

have to get mine back out to verify since I no longer use it,
but he one I used had some "wings" on it that stopped that...

The labs have finally figured out they are NOT welcome sitting in the front passenger seat any longer

From a safety standpoint, nothing beats having them in a dog crate

Mine has adjustable wings that fill in most of the gap by the windows. The one I am using was originally in a 1996 Bronco. That may direct you in a different direction.

I also modified the third seat back stop by grinding a new notch in the latching plate to allow the seat back to sit more upright. Picked up about 3 inches more room for the my 2 Golden Retreivers. No real affect on the use of the third seat as it's usually used to store stuff or small kids.

Come-on guys, these are dogs we're talking about here, not Royalty. Go to PetSmart, spend $60 on a crate, open the gates, slide the crate in and tell Rover "kennel". I've hunted from Ontario, Canada to Montana with my labs for ducks, geese, pheasants and anything else with feathers. My dogs see that crate going in the back and you can't keep them out of it.

Yep, but my expensive, well trained lab is different from yours....

it's my wife's and gets better treatment than I do

on edit - when I say well trained... I don't mean in the bird sense
(although her lineage has champs there)

I mean in the spoiled rotten lapdog sense

She was crate raised in the house, but has long since outgrown the largest ones we could find..
her "dad" was 135 lb and "mom" 90, so she's a big girl @ 105....

My shepherd is so big that a crate would be more of a problem than finding a partition is !
