I was told by a local wheel dealer that he doesn't recommend due to safety reasons, adding any wheels bigger than an 18 inch due to the weight of the X and the fact that the bigger the wheel, the less the tire. I would really like to add 20's and get the 305/50/20 size tires. The wheels of course would be 8 lug and made to carry the weight of the vehicle. I know there wouldn't be a significant amount of tire left with the 20's, but would I be any less safe? How would the tires react in a wreck versus the tires I have now that are riding on the stock 16 inch rims? Thanks for the input :) Marcia

Thanks! by the way do you know of any custom fab shops or suspension shops in the metro area.I live up north near crosslake or brainerd area if you where that is.I'd be willing to drive the distance to find someone who could lower the front of my truck 3".Thanks again!

Thanks for all the great feedback.... I really want the 20's..... I'm just concerned that it will undo the nice ride I have now with the sway bar I added and then of course the rods that are coming. So except for a little more bounce (which I think I might like), should the ride pretty much be the same?
I really want them! ;)
