I know everyone seems to like the Ranchos for street, but anyone have recomendations for shocks for my X with 6 inch lift? I don't do much offroading so I don't need an extreme duty shock. The ones I have now came with lift and just blew out right front shock yesterday. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure Bilstein should have something for a 6" lift but would be best to call first.

Contact Ryan at 877-969-2929 (SuperDutyHeadQuarters) to get his take and recommendation

Love my RS9000's. The ability to adjust them is great for street driving, highway cruising, towing, and offroading. Like most people, I keep them on one setting 99% of the time (Level 2 in front, level 3 in rear).

What about for 3" lowered applications, will the Ranchos still work?
What's a typical price for a set of 4?

I'm not sure if they make the Excursion shock for a 3" lowered application. The Excursion has a special top mount for the shocks. If it used a standard top mount, then it wouldn't be a problem, as you can just order Ranchos for the proper length.

I purchased mine a few years ago. The RS9000x's typically go on sale once per year where you by 3 and get the 4th free. You can get ballpark pricing off of http://www.summitracing.com.

summit shows near $90 per shock, i can get them thru my distributor for $75 each, may get better deal if i mass order them, this is for the rs9000

any interest, can probably get them to you for an additional $20 (MAX ) shipping on all 4 depending on your location

so a set of 4 can be had for about $320

compared to summit for $360 plus $6 handling they charge
