Ok guys, I took this photo this morning to add to 'My Garage' photo collection to show the enhancements that I have done to my X. Something caught my eye in this photo and when I went back out to my X to investigate sure enough there was a problem . It is now fixed. Here is the photo:

Good catch, Bill. What I find interesting is it appears that the drop-link is inboard of the frame rail. Is that true? All the Hellwig bars (with the older style drop-links) I've seen had 'em mounted outboard of the frame rail.

Not sure! I put it in per the Helwig instructions and pix. I ordered and installed it sometime in May of 2005. Works wonders (when it's not missing a NUT! ) Is anyone else's installed this way?

Yep,the swaybar is mounted to the inner side on our Excursion also.

Mine seem like an older design (they are about 5 years old), but are mounted on the outside of the frame:

OK, I feel like I have entered the Twighlite Zone! Looking at the pix that Eric just posted, I don't see how you could attach on the inside of the frame with it having the bend 'in' at the bottom? Does your drop link bend? Now I'm curious.

Looking back at my original photo and Landyots comment about my drop link looking like it was mounted on the 'inside' of the frame. It is an optical illusion. What looks like the frame is actually the leaf spring and it makes it look like the drop link is on the inside of the frame (which is actually higher and out of the pix)

I have a Heiwig that thunks like crazy. I keep tighting the upper bolt and it works it self loose. I wonder if I chose the wrong hole in the frame.

I keep thinking I'm going to take care of it when I put on new code spring, but that has been a year of weekends that get filled with other things. So Thunk Thunk Thunk down the road.
