I would like to paint the the "Grand-pa Gold" trim on my 2000. But the running boards are tan/gold.
I was wondering if you have succesfully painted them. I want to Line-x (you know the spray in bedliner stuff.) This stuff it bullet proof and goes on really hot, I was worried it would warp the plastic.
The Line-x guys say "sure we can do that!" But I would like to hear what it looks like a month or two later!

I had some overspray on my running boards from when I purchased the X new in 2000 and had the underbody coating put on. Not enough to see if it would cause warping, but that stuff has not come off my running boards. I would imagine the Line X stuff will be fine. It will definitely stick.
