Why hold onto the old front end pieces? I'm sure there are a ton of people needing front end repair parts. Save yourself the work of putting it back to original later, and sell the old parts now to recoup some of your expenses. Even the old dented bumper could be used by someone who's willing to bang out the dent, drop some Bondo on it, and paint it. Are you going to put the old mirrors back on, too? I'm not ... already sold 'em on Ebay.
I fully understand the time estimate thing. You can almost bet you'll always have to double your best guesstimate. I feel your anxiety over deciding such things. I've been wanting to install the lighted OEM Ford sun visor for a couple years, but $1200 is a bit steep. If I could do it for $500 or maybe even $600, I probably would. |
What you say makes sence....I guess I should sell them... As for the old mirrors... lol I still got the doggy ears mirrors.

Hi all. As you can see this is my first post here. I recently bought my wife an '03 X as her daily driver as well as a tow rig for my hummer. I have a ton of questions.
The first one will be to Caddy. That is a GREAT install of the '05 front end. I have been looking into this as well. Can you post a list of parts needed to complete this? If that's not permitted here can you email it to me? I really like the newer front end look.

The only thing I did not buy was the ford headlamp harness kit. I used an aftermarket plug-n-play type kit for the headlamp.

well I have some update photos now. I bought a new digital camera and the day it arrived I found my lost digital camera. Oh well... I'm not sending this camera back. I kinda like it. But the colors come out too rich. So I'm still messing with it. I used to take photos with night shot I guess its true about not all camera are the same even if its from the same company.  LOL I adjust the colors a little bit.  Enjoy

I don't think I can make it.... My job wont let me take a vacation untill july.... I'll see if I can get a scheduled off or maybe called in sick for a few days....
