When I drive my Excursion I can be zipping around at 70-75 and it just doesn't feel like it. It may be that I spend a lot of time on my motorcycle (2003 Suzuki SV1000N) where I can FEEL myself going at those speeds. But my pickup doesn't give my that same feeling not knowing how fast I'm going. Could be the low exhaust note makes the engine not sound frenetic at 3K rpm, could be the size of it...anyway...I'm just thinking out loud... :roll: My wife feels the same way about it. Odd...
