not much new here, except driving from Fort Worth to San Antonio each week running B100 bio-D...trying to contact a place in Austin that sells B100 but they never answer the phone.!!

I can't quite make it round trip on one full tank, due to 3-4 days of in town SA driving between trips back and forth....actually ran dry at the south edge of FTW a couple weeks ago, chatting on the phone and not paying attention to the fuel gauge. (what a dumb -A)

After heavy rains all last wknd in FTW I did some flat muddy field 4x4 fun...the 20 minutes of sliding and doughnuts was alot of fun but $5 worth of car washing on Sunday afternoon to clean the mud out was not alot of fun....still some stuff hanging inside the rear bumper.

bought a supposed "upgrade" CPS (it's a little bigger and blue) but have not yet installed it.

FYI

Still without my Excursion (it's still in MN). Driving the Galaxie on a daily basis, though. Can't wait to have the X back.

Rebuilding the sound system again. I've spent all my time outside. Still got time to check in.

Between working on that and finishing the new barn, I'm affraid the X is going to have to be happy on the back burner.

And momma wants to repaint the whole inside of the house, again *@^$%!

I do check everyday Mon-Fri

This is good! I'm happy to see evryone chiming in! Even when there's not a whole of our favorite subject to talk about, it's good to know I ain't the only one who takes a peak in this website on a daily basis.

And me? I've been working almost every free hour I've had since 1/19/06 making radius-rod parts. I still have more parts to cut & debur, but I should commence to welding within a week. I'm going to hire the neighbor's son to paint while I weld, so I'm also hoping for dry & warmer weekends (45-degrees tomorrow ), especially since the young man is available only on weekends.

thats because all you guys do is complain, I love my Ex, and she gives me no trouble so I have nothing to complain about, but I will say that I bought a mountaineer and I love that little truck, man its nice all leather and it has the sunroof and all the bells and whistles... wow what a ride, the 4.6 moves out when you punch it and I have not had a chance to take it off road to test the AWD but I will and I will let you all know how it went, if your wife is looking for a SUV thats not going to take the other half of the driveway then look at the mountaineer!! talk to you later, im going to go look for some mudd....

It really is all about size!!!!!!

Brian - That's true because forums like this aren't really a place to say, " Howdy all! No problems here. Yessirreeee ... runnin' smooth as silk."

Most folks are looking for vehicle-specific tips & answers to their questions. And there's no such thing as a stupid question ... we all had to start somewhere. While the socializing is great ... and there's a bunch of real good people here ... many folks don't bother to look here unless they're searching for an answer to a specific problem. I started this thread simply because of the slowdown in forum traffic.

BTW, I've been blessed with an Excursion that has had minimal problems. The biggest headache I've had was with the door ajar switches. I haven't had pulsating brakes, flashing overdrive light, or many other ailments typical to several posters. Of course, now that I've said that, I'll probably start seeing some of those symptoms. 91K miles coming up soon, so I need to start saving $$$ for the 100K tune-up (bought mine used with 53K miles on it).

Bottom line? There are many more trouble-free Excursions than one might assume. After reading several different vehicular forums (not just for Excursions), one might get the impression that all of the vehicles have a ton of problems. For the most part, ONLY those folks having problems speak up

Thanks for speaking up & congratulations on the Mountaineer! Though it does seem a bit strange to hear a Texan brag about a smaller truck. (hee-hee)

Lookie 'ere! Today is Thursday, and nobody's posted a thing since Monday! Does that mean all of you are having zero problems with your trucks? That would be really cool.

How about if y'all post a quickie reply to this thread just to let some of us old codgers know folks are still visitin'? So, speak up!

Carry on.

HA HA I wish I had zero problem.... Last month snow storm.... all this road salt did something to my reverse camera.... I didn't notice till I wanted to hook up a trailer...Last year, it Damage the camera... And it was under warrenty at the time.. Now its not.... So much for waterproof. from soundgate...

Newest problem... Both of my rear door locks failed.... At the same time? Weird... I had all my door locks actuators and the hatch back lock actuator replaced about a month after I bought the excursion. Oh well. They will be fix soon no biggy. Other then that...I wash and wax my Excursion today.
