Does anybody know of a cargo barrier/pet barrier specially made for the X? I'm looking for something that will attach to the back of the rear seat and extend to the ceiling. Is there such an animal?

Thanks,

Shannon,

I purchased this dog barrier from Petco:

Eric,

Thanks for the reply.

Do you like the way it connects to the vehicle. It looks like it is a pressure fit between the floor and ceiling. Any issues?

Thanks,

Works just fine when the 3rd seat is in. It is a pressure fit -- fit it in and then turn the wing nuts to extend the legs. When it's wedged up against the 3rd seat, it eliminates the rattling, too. Hasn't ruined the headliner at all. Our German Shepherd doesn't hop over the 3rd seat anymore.

I have the same type pet barrier for my Golden Retriever. Being the anal retentive lad I am, I use a couple of cardboard pieces between the mounting cups and the headliner. It works well==at least with my Golden.

Yeppers, before our lab learned the front seats was for US, we had to have a pet barrier....

but for you that know labs, my wife calls it a "Hair" barrier

at the time they didn't have anything but the pressure type and without putting something to spread the load out, the top bar WOULD put a dent in the head liner....

so do use something to distribute the load so you don't have a suction cup indention when the pet finally learns his/her area
