For those of you who have replaced your rear Excursion shocks...

There are 2 bolts on the top of the rear shocks that screw into a removable threaded bolt-hole. What are these threaded things called? I need to get a couple of them at the parts store, and since mine have fallen out, I can't bring one in to say "I need this." I would rather not remove one of the other ones on the other shock in my X. It's where these bolts thread into (shown in this blurry picture I took a few years ago when I was doing a rear shock swap):

I have always known them as bolt clips.

You should at least bring a bolt so you can match the thread. I think it may be metric.

I have a couple spare bolts that I will surely bring. "Bolt clips" is what I'll tell 'em and I guess I'll wait to see their reaction.

At Autozone they have rotating rack in the nuts/bolts aisle that carries fender clips. These are basically the same thing, you just need to match the thread.

The clips you will need are 8mm. Lowes, autozone, Pep Boys, Advanced, A really good local hardware store, any of these should have them. They are called clip nuts. I got a new set at Lowe's. If you can find them in stainless, so much the better.

Replace the bolts, also. You will want Grade 10.9 8mm X 25mm long bolts. 2 per shock.
