Okay, I'm not that heavy, but I noticed that my PSD Excursion sits 3/4 of an inch lower on the driver side in the front measured to the bottom of the fender. I need to replace my front leaf springs and took some measurements. I also have seen where front springs have been replaced with a stronger spring on the driver side. Anyone else seen this? I can provide a link if I can find it.

Check over at thedieselstop, search under PSD Excursions. You should replace with Ford superduty springs U or V code. The U will give a lift around 1.5 inch and the V slighlty more. I've heard of using the V on the drivers side due to extra weight on that side and U on the right. They are very close in rates.

I used the U code on my old V10 Ex and got a lift of 1.5 inches, the ride was greatly improved. I plan on upgrading the springs on current PSD Ex with the same when the weather warms up. See pictures in my gallery of 2000 Ex with U codes.

I did not have the uneven problem on my X, but I just swapped out my factory front springs (after 176,000 miles) and installed V-code springs. It's even on both sides.

Here's the install:

I think most sag at about 50 K miles and the drivers side is a little lower.

My parents 03 7.3L had the uneven stance and dad put V on one side and U on the other. I think it evened it up or made it real close. Bruce is the best to ask when it comes to springs and research. My 2002 already had V code springs on it and it is level.
