Dave,
There are two screws (with a torx head, if I remember correctly) that control the aiming of the headlights. After I installed my APC headlights, I pulled into the driveway, closed the garage door, and did a preliminary aiming there by lining the beams up on the garage door. Then I took it out onto a dark street in the neighborhood to do the final aiming (it took a few test drives to get it right).

While on the subject of headlights, I have a question on removing the drivers side headlight bulb on 7.3L with stock air/battery box. I picked up some silverstar ultras and I can barely get my hand in to remove old bulb, compared to the v10 where it was easy to change. Will I need to pull the battery? |

I just put in the same bulbs and yes I had to pull the battery on that side. The silver stars are nice. The funny thing is the knuckle head at the auto parts store where I got them from tried telling me that you can drive with the brights on with them and it won't aaffect the oncoming traffic. I was like yea right but tried it anyway. I believe the only reason no one flashed me was they were so blinded that they couldn't find the bright switch.
I'd rather be in the boat with a drink on the rocks then in the drink with the boat on the rocks.... But either way theres gonna be a good story!!! |

It CAN be done without pulling the battery..... IF you don't have fatter hands than me
A few insights:
1) Put duck tape on the sharp edges you have to reach thru (Don't ask why )
2) pay CLOSE attention to the orientation of the bulb as u twist it and pull out so you can know the proper orientation to fit the 3 sided square into the round hole Maybe best to mark the top point with a bright colored marks-a-lot so it will go back in easier...
3) order an upgraded wiring harness for 2+ more volts at the bulb directly from the battery... (I got mine from www.gosracing.com)
4) before you do this - consider www.hidfoglights.com - not much more money for HID !
