Anyone else observe their rear hatch molding start to flake yet?

Friend of mine is looking into seeing if I can get it at near dealer cost to save me a few bucks,I may even buy two so I have another ready to go on in another 5 years

No problems with mine. I'm sure the southern sun will take its toll on it pretty soon, though. It sits outside 24/7 nowadays.

I think the cost of one or two rattle-cans and some masking tape would be a whole lot less $$$. Neither of my Excursions have displayed such discoloration. In your photo, it appears that the finish is failing only on the top surface, and not wrapped around the edge. It looks almost like a fluid substance of some sort dried-up in those spots.
