After starting a cold PSD my EX has a tinny hissing sound coming from the tailpipe. If I tap the throttle lightly the sound goes away. This sound is not there when the engine is wharm. Is this normal?

My dad's 2000 F250 PSD does this, too. I think it has to do with the "warm-up" program designed to bring the engine up to operating temps quickly. Some valve closes and forces the engine to work a little harder than regular idle. How's that for a technical explanation?

Okay, Thanks. I guess I won't have to take it to the dealer for that. However, I did just receive a sort of recall re: the 'power adjustable brake and throttle pedals'. Has anyone had any problems with this feature? Mine are still functioning normally.
