Well, after reading their web site (www.centramatic.com) and speaking with their veyy friendly sales department, I'm sold on the Centramatics wheel balancers. They list for $199 a set (4) and I think I'd like to give them a try.
If anyone is interested in a group purchase, I would be willing to coordinate it. Basically, I'd purchase the kits at wholesale and re-ship to you at cost plus actual shipping (I doubt they'll do separate drop ships, but I'll check. That would be easier). You'd send me payment via PayPal or check.
Interested? I think we'd need at least four folks to make it happen. If I get three others intersted, I'll call them Tuesday AM and post details. Post your interest here...

Still watching for another couple of folks to buy in. Please post a note here if you'll commit to the purchase.

Having briefly checked out their site and not read all of their material...do these essentially eliminate the need for wheel balance weights or are they still required for "initial" balancing?

The way I understand it is they completely eliminate the need for balancing weights. In fact I think that was a question on their FAQ, I'll double check.
Just checked their FAQ's and NO the tires do NOT have to be pre balanced. |

Scott, Sorry but I gotta retract myself. I need to spend the money on brakes and Hellwig swaybar first. Sorry about that, but after checking some things, it's just not in the budget right now. |

I'd love to buy in as well but no money either!
However, I'm sure that folks like me who can't afford it now would be interested in the future if you could still arrange it then.

As I figure it, we only have two buyers at this point. I'm still game as soon as someone else chimes in with a commitment.
