i took in x for vibration on highway. ford dealer had balaced and rotated tires 4 weeks ago and it still shakes at 55,65,75,80. they had car all day and i went to pick at 5 pm.they were putting new power door look actuator in that failed as well. they had me look at tires, they had all four tires spining on the x on the lift. they said tires are balanced but all four tires were wobbleing as they spun.they said tires look out of round. they are uniroyal laredos with 75 % tread left.the guy said maybe drive train as well and they needed more time with it and to bring it back. i do have american racing rims on truck that were from ford dealer as part of a converson package. im having trouble believeing i have 4 tires that are out of round. i do believe tires are balanced. could it be lug nuts on after market wheels not seating tire square to hub. i have read previos post on drive shafts being out of balance. to top it all off the door lock part they put in was defective and they had no more parts so had to order. i left with nothing accomplished. all i want to do is to be able to drive down the road with out shaking. i dont think its to much to ask.

Mine has started a definite vibration at 50-55 that goes away at higher speeds. Must be a harmonic of something. Also, seems like I can feel the engine vibrate a bit more at idle. Not sure if the motor mounts are settling in and this is normal or if it is an early indication of uneven firing. Hate to think of problems with less than 8K miles on the truck.

What size are the wheels and what size are the tires?

Uniroyal is not known for big tires so I doubt you're running anything huge. That said, it is hard to believe that they can't get these tires balanced but anything is possible. Try running a set of other wheels/tires on the truck and see if that fixes your vibration problems. Seems like the obvious "next step" to me.
