My A/C makes a "fluttering" sound for about 5 seconds when I first turn it on in the morning (warm here in S. Florida). It sounds like one of the air vent flaps/valves is flapping trying to open--not the A/C vents, somewhere behind the dash. The sounds starts loud and fast and quickly (5 seconds) diminishes/dispapears. This only happens in the morning when I first start up. For the rest of the day through repeated restarts, it's OK.

I'm out of warranty.

Anyone else's A/C do this? Cause/cure?

Scott

Scott,

Been running my A/C more frequently here in MN (imagine that!) and it doesn't make any of the sounds you describe.
