Do you know why your battery died?
Typically the alarm will go off if a battery is reconnected to prevent thieves from simply disabling a vehicle by unhooking the battery. Did you replace your original battery? Does it still hold a decent charge? Does this happen when it's parked all day long without moving the vehicle?
