Nice car. Did you paint it yourself? It looks good from here.

Nope, bought it as it is. The pain job is over 17 years old, believe it or not. The previous owner kept it in great condition visually...the engine needed a little TLC when I bought it. It has its fair share of knicks and dings -- it's considered a "20 footer." The car looks perfect from 20 feet away, as you get closer, you see the minor imperfections.

Greetings, Eric

After looking long and hard, I've recently purchased a '67 LTD. It has lots of miles, is almost all stock, and needs lots of work. Before I do anything else, I need to repair the exhaust system so it is drivable, but I won't repair the single exhaust it has now. I would love to install headers and dual exhaust, but can't find anyone that sells headers, at least not for a Galaxie.

From the pics. you posted, looks like you have headers installed. Where did you find them? Do they clear the power steering and shift linkage ok?

The previous owner registered my LTD at www.ford-registry.com. Until I take some decent pictures in the spring, my car can be seen under registry #2190 at http://www.ford-registry.com/1967_Picture_Gallery/1967_PG_LTD_2DH_2156_to.htm

Thanks, Eric, for the part numbers and all the other info. I suppose I should have been able to find it myself, but I had it stuck in my head that headers weren't available for my car. My last Galaxie had a 289, and I couldn't find anything to fit that car. I didn't keep the car very long, either. I had a lot of fun with it, but it was so rusty... I sold the car before it decided to fold in half.

Is the ceramic coating really worth the extra $180?

Yes, my car has some kind of dealer or aftermarket A/C, but is not working. There is no belt on the compressor. The extra groove on the crank pulley and the compressor pulley line up, but it looks like there should be a third pulley on the passenger side. I have to do some more research. I won't need A/C until July, anyway. Maybe the snow and salt will be gone by then so I can actually drive it.
