Bill,
Which engine do you have in yours? Also, you don't have a registry entry for it, care to create one so that we/I can see some pics?

Mine is far from stock, it has a 69 351w with cleveland heads and intake.it had a 289 originally with an fmx tranny. I put the 351 in so i could rebuild the 289 but that never happend. after many rebuilds on that 351 I decided to stick with it. you know, we got history that fmx had over 400000 on it until reverse went out so then I put in a killer c-6 in it I still got that fmx it was the best tranny I've ever seen. I'll try to shoot some pictures and put them on my excursion page soon

Bill,
Where'd you get the C6 rebuilt and for how much, if you don't mind me asking? I need to get a hold of a C6 soon. My Cruise-o-matic is nice, but is no match for the now-built 390.

It's a funny story, I went looking for trannys and came onto a c-4 for 50 bucks and spent 400 more dollars having it gone through. I had a transgo shift kit put on it to make as strong as it could be for a c-4 and to have some hard shift points. well then the bell housing on a c-4 and the fmx come off to interchange with the different engines. A c-4 has 11 different flywheels! thanks to ford While I was going through many of these flywheels for the right one, a guy from around the corner from my house came over an asked if I was having tranny problems. I told him of my flywheel findings. then He said that he had a c6 already rebuilt that he would sell me for a 100 bucks. direct fit, first time, no problems So I had a transgo kit put in it and it's been great. now I have three tranny for my car and about 6 flywheels
