'67 Galaxie - having problems starting. The starter isn't cranking but this relay is making some strange sounds when the key is turned to the "start" position.

The local Napa and Bumper-to-Bumper can't find an ignition/starter relay in their computers so I'm SOL with getting a replacement unless I can figure out what the proper name is for this.

Take a look at the pics, would appreciate any insight!!!

I am new here and must be having trouble with the format. I cannot pull up the photos in your gallery. What does this relay look like (and where located) and does it have an ID nos. on it similiar to a FORD part number?

You should just be able to click on the photos to see them.

This was a pretty old post, I have since resolved the issue.

Thanks,
-Eric

Only one photo shows to me and I can't enlargen it.

What did the problem turn out to be?

Never figured out what that part was that's pictured in those photos but the starting problem ending up being a combination of a battery not having enough juice and a bad starter solenoid. The starter solenoid had all of about 5 starts on it. Typical electrical problem...so easy that the simple stuff was overlooked.
