I have a 84' Bronco just put on a 4 inch lift with 33's, but wanted to know what a 3 inch body lift would do. I always hear not to mix suspension and body, but wanted to know why. |

You can certainly mix a body lift and suspension lift. I started out with a 4" lift, then added a 3" body lift, then converted to a 6" lift and ended up with a total of 9" of lift. If I were to get another Bronco and do it again, I'd go all with all suspension for my lift.
Body lifts only give you the ability to fit larger tires. There are a lot of cosmetic issues that arise with body lifts (big gaps between the bumpers and the body). It is definitely the cheaper way to go but it all depends on your budget and how you want your truck to perform. If you have the money, go with an all-suspension lift. You will fit the larger tires and get increased flex while wheeling.

There's a place here in Denver called Certifit auto body parts. (certifit.com) Their site is not available right now, but I'll see if I can find their catalog and come back and post a phone #.
All I could find was a local #, 303-297-8800. Hope this helps.
Edit: Found the toll free #, 1-800-672-8808
