Do you have any ideas as to what you're going to do? If you provide the direction you think you're going in terms of engine setup, drivetrain, etc., I can give you some feedback.

well it will be street /strip not a dailey driver. will bracket race most every weekend. would like to get 400+hp from carbureted set-up on pump gas. will swap fmx for c4. 8.8 rear. this will be a "one-piece-at-a-time" project as i dont have a lot of money to put in it all at once. i have the body it is a real solid car that had a 4 banger. the 351w was in a 79 cougar and is all orignal i havent located a 8.8 yet. thanks for your time.

Try a Cleavor conversion. Windsor block and 2V Cleveland/Modified heads. Water passages need to be drilled and others blocked with freese plugs but believe me these heads will run! I did the conversion on a 302. Talk about a motor that breaths! B&A Ford Performance out of Fort Smith, Arkansas sells two types of intakes (street/racing). There number is 1-918-427-7757. I don't know if they have an email address. I did all this back before the internet was huge. If it is a strait out strip warrior you plan to build then go all out and get some 4V heads. But I'm telling you that the 2V heads will more than double the breathing capacity of the regular windsor head and you can find the 2V heads around anywhere cheap. NORM

Your Bronco should already have a 9" rearend, why would you want an 8.8?Late heads are same as 302 small valves and ports use early heads 69 are best or new P head or aftermarket.
