In Ford models I would like to see pickup. F1 and F100 are listed but vehicles manufactured prior to 48 are just pickups. Also if that would be to troublesome an "other" catagory would help in most areas. My other one is in Dodge, I have an RM 450 chassis and there is no option for big stuff or "other" Thanks, Hawkrod

Tom,

"Pickup" has been added as a Ford model. Thank you for the suggestion.

As for the "other" option. We would prefer to offer the actual vehicles that they are, rather than using "Other." The reason being is when people search for vehicles, when advertisements are displayed, the "Other" category is so non-descriptive.

I'm not familiar with the Dodge RM 450 chassis. Would adding "RM 450" as a "model" option to Dodge be acceptable? Or is there a better model name to use? We're open to ideas.

Thanks,

-Eric

Hi, thank you very much for the pickup option. The RM 450 is just one of a series of large vehicle chassis that Dodge sold from the 50's until the late 80's and were mainly used for large gas powered commercial trucks and motorhomes. Because the chassis is the common thread for many manufacturers, the chassis model is used to identify certain types of motorhomes by collectors who are more interested in motive power. I have pictures of my RM 400 chassis Pace Arrow listed already (as a Dodge Viper!) and want to add my rare and collectible RM 450 chassis Vogue.

How about we add the following:

Dodge "RM 400 chassis Pace Arrow"
Dodge "RM 450 chassis Vogue"

Will that be acceptable? We'll change your Viper to the RM 400 chassis Pace Arrow after the addition is made. Just let me know if these sound like reasonable additions for the "models" under Dodge.

Do you know of a list anywhere that exists that my have other chassis types? We could import this list into the database of Dodge (and other) manufacturers, too. Just a thought.

Let me know what you think. Thanks, Tom.

You really cannot begin to believe how impressed I am with your quick responses and attention! I recently stopped participating at another major web site due to the poor management and arrogance of the owner and admin. You are a breath of fresh air to be sure! Kudo's and a virtual beer for you. I think the Dodge section may be better off having a listing for chassis or Constucted vehicles. The reason i say this is the Different chassis were available from different manufacturers in different models. My Vogue is an RM 450 but sombody elses may be an RM 500 or RM 400 depending on year or model. Maybe you could just have a category for RV/Conversion Chassis and leave it at that as the chassis were sold to build RV's as well as big custom vehicles like military transports. Thanks so much for your interest Tom AKA Hawkrod

Done. Dodge now has an "RV/Conversion Chassis" model option.
