Club: Four Door Bronco

Recently with the vehicle of the month catagories we have had the question arise where is my vehicle listed? Well our club members have them listed as Broncos, as Centurions, and as ford trucks. Some of our vehicles weren't eligable for the current VOTM just because they are listed as Broncos, even though a lot of the vehicle is a Ford truck. Some of them are a stretched bronco frame and some a truck frame.

We would like to have a vehicle catagory for our trucks where they can all be listed together, but we don't want the trucks to be excluded from VOTM because they don't fall within the conventional boundries of most contests. Suggestions? Only one of our dozen or so trucks that should be eligable, is for the current VOTM.

Our trucks range from 1976 to 1996.

76-83 would be custom built on a crewcab frame/body and full size Bronco rear body, with 78 and newer being possible to stretch a full size bronco frame.
84-96 centurion conversions company, magnum motors conversions, and individuals custom made these on either truck frames or stretched full size bronco frames.

We even have a few dually ones running around.

The engines are Ford truck engines of the years diesel and gas. The parts are mixed in Bronco parts. We've got 2 and 4 wheel drive models.

The custom trucks are custom hand built trucks. The Centurions are "Classic Bronco" C-150, C-250, C-350.
Magnum labeled their truck models as Metropolitan. Still available from half ton to full one ton frames with Bronco rear bodys.

I guess back to the original question, can we have a catagory created to include our trucks models and keep them together but that won't exclude them from competitions like this month where a good number of our trucks should be eligable but are not?

Audra,

We've added C-150, C-250, C-350, and the Metropolitan as models for registry entries. The only thing we cannot specifically address is the custom-built truck. We would recommend your club members choose C-150, C-250, or C-350 for their custom built vehicles. Otherwise, if we have a "custom" model category, then anything can fall within this category and it's impossible for us to target sponsored ads and VOTM contests towards a custom category that could potentially contain hot rods, Broncos, 4x4s, etc. They can make notes in thier vehicle details as to whether or not it is a custom-built vehicle.

Regarding the VOTM contests and all advertising on the site that targets 1994+ Ford trucks -- everything has been adjusted to include the 3 Centurions and the Metropolitan. Please instruct your members to change their vehicle registry models. They can go to this page to edit their vehicles:

Let me know if you have any other questions and good luck with the contest!

Just drop us a support message at http://www.supermotors.org/support/index.php and we'll take care of it. We like to keep e-mail records of username change requests.

Thanks,

-Eric
