I'm dealing with a lifter that sticks at idle, espeacially when cold. Any ideas about additives or anything that will make it shut up untill I replace my mill? I'm looking to get a few more months out of it, and other than that it runs strong.

For your 390 FE questions, I would recommend posting this question at FordFE.com as they are a nice group of folks that will be able to help you with anything FE-related.

Marvel Mystery oil (AutoZone, Pepboys etc)in a red bottle or CD2 in a yellow bottle. If you are rebuilding a FE motor ask your machinest about enlarging the oil galleries.they are restrictive.

I have the same problem on my 360, i've been told it's normal.
