The story

The car is actually a Skylark Gransport. There was only 2,047 of this car made in 1966! My father bought it new in 1966 for ~$3000 (we still have the original bill of sale)

the car is 100% original. Small items have been shaged (such as the chrome alt) but the original is still good, and packed up in a box. Original radiator, exhaust, tires, paint, interior, you name it. The convertible top was replaced somewhere around 1988 (i cant recall offhand)
The spare tire is original from Buick in 1966; it was never used. — kevin w
