2004 Ford Focus

The story

I bought the Focus new in May 2004. It was at the end of the Focus SVT production. The color is Screaming Yellow which along with Competition Orange were only available on the SVT's with the European Appearance Package (AEP). The package included all the available options plus Recaro Seats and distinct wheels. I haven't made an modifications. It has been my daily driver and is pretty fun without changes.

The current Tires are Kumho SPT's which are great and pretty inexpensive. I've had the OE Continentals (not bad) and Michelin Piolot PE2's (disappointing)

I am using Hawk HPS pads all around. They are great for street use. They have better initial bite than the stock pads but are scary on the first stop after the car has been sitting in the rain (rock hard pedal and no braking). After a terrifying few seconds the problem goes away. — jpanther
