The story

1997 Mercury Sable GS Station Wagon: I've had the car since December 2000. So far there have been some modifications; the big one being the audio system. I swapped the factory radio for an Aiwa CDC-MP3 CD/MP3 Receiver, and then later switched that one for the Pioneer DEH-P8400MP CD/MP3 Receiver which I currently have. Factory speakers were replaced with Rockford Fosgate FRC-1257 2-Way 5"X7" speakers. I then put in a Hollywood Digital RHV-1600D (1600W+) mono amplifier pushing 2 Rockford Fosgate 15" Punch HX2 DVC subwoofers (600wrms/1200wmax each). Outside the car the changes include aftermarket wheel covers, AutoVent (window) wind deflectors, hyper-white winshield washer lights, xenon (plasma blue) headlight bulbs & Rally brand fog lights. Under the hood the only thing different is a K&N air filter. The car is definitely a work-in-progress; changes will continue to come. — A Sanchez
