About the 1998-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis
The Mercury Grand Marquis (1998-2011) is a full-size, rear-wheel-drive sedan built on Ford's body-on-frame Panther platform and sold only as a four-door sedan. Every year used the 4.6 liter SOHC modular V8 paired with a four-speed automatic, and the car shared its platform with the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car. The 1998 revision brought a restyled body while the steering stayed recirculating-ball, the 2003 update introduced a revised hydroformed frame together with rack-and-pinion steering, and production ended at St. Thomas Assembly in Ontario, Canada on January 4, 2011.
The story
Bought it from a old timer that didn’t drive it very much.car is in great shape few bumps and bruises and only had 69,000 on it when I bought it 3 months ago . Just bought Addco 1 1/4 front sway bar and Addco rear 1inch sway bar . Hope it will Handles better after I install new sway bars . Then thinking about putting KONI rear shocks on it. · Lvfd9
