The story
1979 Firebird Esprit Redbird Edition kept stock because its a classic.
The 1979 Firebird Esprit was -- and still is -- one of the most desired Firebirds in Pontiac history. With the two-barrel, 8-cyl. 4.9 liter engine, it was the perfect mix between affordable comfort and muscle car power. '79 Firebirds were Pontiac's best seller for that year with a retail value of around $1200. The 1979 Firebird was the best model Pontiac ever produced.
Original exhaust consisted of one straight pipe and muffler. I added duel exhaust straight from the motor -- adding two Flowmaster exhausts. Now, you can hear me 10 minutes after I've left.
It has the original paint job with very little -- if any -- fading. All decals are intact.
Original wheels -- honeycomb wheels with red to match the car. All trim pieces are intact and still shining. ;)
The interior is in great shape -- there is some sun fading and small amounts of wear and tear but the interior as a whole is in outstanding condition considering the age of the vehicle. — Erin French
