1996 Chevrolet Impala Specs & Photos

The 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS was the final year of the Caprice-based B-body and of rear-wheel-drive Impalas, as GM converted its Arlington plant to truck production. The 260-horsepower LT1 V8 gained OBD-II diagnostics, and the SS finally received a floor-mounted shifter and analog tachometer.
