The 1992–1997 Aero Panther Grand Marquis brought smoother lines to Mercury's full-size flagship, and the builds here show everything from cream-colored '96 models with their distinctive chrome taillights and wood-trimmed interiors glowing green at night, to V8 engine bay shots and fresh paint booth respray work. You'll also spot these big sedans lined up on fields alongside their Panther platform siblings, proving the Grand Marquis community is still going strong.
The story
Lucky buy for me. Found it via a L/M dealer with only 30K on it when I bought it. Only mod I made was putting larger tires on it. Went from 215/70R15 (OEM) to 225/75R15. I love the difference. Goodyear Regatta II tires.
Was broken in to and stole the CD deck from it. Busted the dash below where the deck mounted. Couldn't find a good replacement in the right color (light grey) so I got a bit of wood and (poorly) designed something that would work to hold a new deck. I'd like to replace the dash someday, if I can find one. — Sipowicz
