The 2006 Dodge Durango added the Multi-Displacement System to the 5.7 liter Hemi, shutting down four cylinders under light load to save fuel. The 3.7 liter V6 and 4.7 liter V8 continued as the volume engines. It was the last year for the original second-generation front styling before the 2007 refresh.
