1956 Ford Fairlane Specs & Photos
The 1956 Ford Fairlane adopted a 12-volt electrical system and offered the Lifeguard safety package, which brought a deep-dish steering wheel plus optional padded dash and factory lap belts. A four-door Victoria hardtop joined the line, and the new 312 Thunderbird Special V8 topped the chart at 225 hp gross with Fordomatic. It was the final year for the Crown Victoria, whose glass-top version dropped to 603 cars.
The 1956 Ford Fairlane is part of the First-Gen Fairlane (Full-Size) generation (1955–1956). See the full Ford Fairlane 1955–1956 registry →
