Jaguar XJ6

1993 Jaguar XJ6 Specs & Photos

The 1993 Jaguar XJ6 belongs to the XJ40 generation, the ground-up redesign that replaced the Series 3 six-cylinder cars and reached the United States for 1988. By 1993 it used the 4.0 L AJ6 double-overhead-cam 24-valve inline-six, introduced for 1990 in place of the earlier 3.6 L unit, driving through a ZF four-speed automatic. The four-door saloon was sold in XJ6, Sovereign, and Vanden Plas trim, with US 4.0 L output around 223 hp. The XJ40 continued through 1994 before the X300 XJ6 replaced it for 1995.
