The 4xe drives its rear axle electrically in EV mode and engages the full four-wheel-drive system when the engine runs.
Transmissions
A six-speed manual was offered only on the 3.6 liter Pentastar V6. An eight-speed automatic (TorqueFlite family) is used across the rest of the range and is the only transmission for the 2.0 liter turbo, the 3.0 liter EcoDiesel, the 6.4 liter 392, and the 4xe plug-in hybrid.
