The 1999 Lexus LX470 is the second-generation LX, built on the Toyota Land Cruiser 100 series platform (chassis code UZJ100). It uses the 2UZ-FE 4.7L DOHC V8 rated at 230 horsepower (net) and 320 lb-ft of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic and full-time four-wheel drive that routes through a Torsen limited-slip center differential. It was offered only as a four-door, eight-passenger full-size SUV with a height-adjustable suspension. The 1999 model was a carryover of the LX470 introduced for 1998, which replaced the 80-series-based LX450.
