This gasket was installed when the reman engine went in, and although it doesn't appear to be leaking like the R side did, it was just a matter of time. The decaying material also meant that the manifold bolts were getting loose, and that the manifold itself was being allowed to warp. All these reasons are why I won't be putting gaskets back on - just like the factory didn't.
